Weekend Update
May 31st, 2009 by Bomb

Had a really nice weekend getting a visit from Aaron and Sarah with Charlie..  Or as he is now known as: C-MAC!!  ’Cause he brings it like a MAC truck!!  Friday and Saturday nights we hung around Fenway for some DMB.  Saturday during the day, I picked up my bike from the dealership which is now S.I.C.K., and then met back up with the group.  Did a LOT of walking around the city, hit up Earth Fest 2009 at the Esplanade..  Most interesting was stumbling upon free draft beer  at a Boston Sailing Club event on the water front. Nice.  :-)

Time to get Monday through Wednesday done and hit the road for a short road-trip / vacation on the bike home to NY!!

New Pipes
May 24th, 2009 by Bomb

Great weekend so far.  Had a blast riding on Friday and Saturday with Chad and had a nice time at Amy’s birthday party barbeque.  Put on nearly 500 miles on the bike now and have scheduled this week to do the first upgrades and maintenances..

The main modification people will immediately notice and hear are my new pipes.  Vance and Hines - Big Shots - Staggered in the black ceramic.  These pipes are going to be sick…  Dropping the bike off on Wednesday and the bike will be ready for pick up on Friday.  I also got a Screamin’ Eagle Air kit and Screamin’ Eagle Race Tuner hardware/software for calibrations, etc.  Really great stuff.

Pictured below is a Cross Bones (my bike) with the pipes I got..  Can’t wait..

Long Weekend
May 22nd, 2009 by Bomb

Today, I’m hoping to get out of work early and am heading out to the ‘burbs to see Amy and Chad.  They’ve moved so I’m going to check out their new place and then Chad and I are headed out on the bikes to raise some hell…

Saturday come back to the city and then Sunday I need to pick up some parts at the Harley dealership and do grocery shopping and all that kind of stuff..

Gitmo
May 22nd, 2009 by Bomb

I’m really sick of hearing about the Gitmo closing and if its good or bad…  And I’m really sick of hearing Dick Cheney run his mouth..

Republicans try to scare the fuck out of us with things like “Would you want these terrorists being held in your state?!” and statements like that.  Acting like these men are savage killing machines that can outwit, outsmart and escape from any prison facility no matter how secure in the States.

Fact of the matter is, our prison systems (Federal and State), already detain serial murders, rapists and generally some of the most evil mofos this planet has ever seen.  Did we export Timothy McVeigh after the Oklahoma City bombing to Cuba?  Do you know how weird it would have been if Clinton shipped him to Cuba and removed his rights?

I don’t want our country to hold people indefinitely without a trial.  Close Gitmo and gives these people their day in court somewhere.

First Road Trip
May 16th, 2009 by Bomb

This morning I set out on my first mini road trip on the bike.  I went up along the coast from Boston to Portsmouth, NH on 1A.  I left around 10ish and got up there a little after 12.  Enjoyed lunch and walked around a tiny bit.  I didn’t want to stay too long because there were some chances of thunderstorms.  Got back to my bike, and had an expired meter ticket, so I owe the city of Portsmouth $10 fine now.. :-/ To get home, I just flew down 95, 93 and then over on Storrow..

Took a nap and now I’m ready to rock and roll.. ha.. Not sure what’s going on tonight.

Ok time to rest and go to bed.. Long day.. ha

New Motorcycle
May 10th, 2009 by Bomb

For weeks, I’ve been thinking about getting a motorcycle for the 2009 riding season.  And before that, I’ve thought about having a motorcycle in general for a really long time but never had the opportunity, or the timing wasn’t right, funds weren’t there, etc.  When I was living in VT I took a 3-day motorcycle course and received my license which I of course transferred over when I moved to MA.

On Saturday, after careful deliberation, I bought a 2009 Harley Davidson Cross Bones.  This is a mean, ugly looking bike that has mini-ape hanger handle bars, great saddle seat and an incredible 1500CC engine.  Anything on the bike can be customized so this is really just the starting point.  Want a 2-seat up for passenger? No Problem.  Different handle bars? Sure.  You get the idea.  Parking for this son of a bitch? I’ve lined up really nice garage parking just a block away in my neighborhood in a new luxury apartment building.

Needless to say, I’m going to be doing a LOT of riding this summer throughout New England and New York.  Many of my guy friends have a bike - so I look forward to getting to ride with everyone finally.  And, I am most likely coming home for Americade in Lake George early June so that’ll be a TON of fun.  (Aaron and Sarah are coming to Boston for DMB weekend which is the weekend before so no conflict there).

I’ll post pics of me and the bike and everything when time permits.  Probably be some mobiles on facebook and whatnot.  For now, here is just a picture of it from the Harley site.  I pick up the bike TOMORROW!!  Time to ride!
