Closing out March..
Mar 29th, 2009 by Bomb

This past week was a busy one and the next is going to be the same..  But.. There is a light at the end of the tunnel thank goodness..  This past week my parents also headed off for their 3rd cruise and their longest yet - 10 days through Panama Canal..  Got word from them that they made it to Florida on time and were hours from boarding and psyched.  They actually took train down and enjoyed a private bedroom for the one overnight.  They’re coming back up the same way as well.

Last night had a good pub crawl with my friend Arty from work.  We started the night at Cask’n'Flagon for dinner/drinks.  Then moved on to The Lower Depths Tap Room, The Bleacher Bar, Jillian’s for some pool but didn’t work out, and then wrapped up at Boston Beer Works.

This week I’m going to see Cold War Kids concert with DTrain on Thursday.  Should be good time, I haven’t been to the Wilbur Theatre since it reopened - so always cool to see a show in a new venue.  I also have Ok Montreal later this month.

Time to watch my movie from Netflix and head on to bed.

Busy busy busy

Lots going on for the big project I’m working on so, unfortunately, I’m going to have to do work over the weekend on that.  No weekend partying for me.  Project will be wrapping up in another 2-3 weeks so things will calm back down then for me.

Tomorrow, I need to try to buy some DMB tickets for Sarah, Aaron and myself at Fenway when they go on sale to general public.  Charlie will be making his first Boston appearance  since being born so that’ll add an element.  I still can’t believe Aaron missed the Warehouse tickets.. He’s getting to be an old forgetful Dad or something - the Aaron I know would have been on top of that! [ j/k]

I might also take a break to enjoy the weather and maybe do a little shopping for spring season.  My flip-flops are a couple years old and kind of worn out so might buy a new pair.  Been toying around with getting a new pair of sunglasses even though the pair of Ray.Bans I have are fine (so probably won’t get any).

Weekend
Mar 16th, 2009 by Bomb

This weekend I walked over to the Apple Store on Boylston and got a new laptop battery.  My Macbook Pro is 2-years old and has needed a new battery for awhile now.  It pretty much got to the point where it could go barely 20 minutes without needing to be plugged back in and the health meter was not good at all.  The new battery is surprisingly heavier then the old one and will hopefully last longer then 2 years.  Overall, after the recent upgrade to Leopard (which I love) and new battery - my machine is like brand new again. :-)

Lets see.. I also went to Bed Bath for a couple things and did grocery shopping.  Watched a movie from Netflix….  Nothing too exciting…

This week is another full work week.  March Madness is getting fired up so we’ll see what may be going on for that.

Back from NY
Mar 9th, 2009 by Bomb

NYC trip this weekend was a really good time.  It was nice hanging out with Joel and Andy and meeting up with many others.  Everything for the weekend kind of went right according to plan or how you might expect things to go down.  Had a good day getting down there and walking around, met up with everyone and had a really fun Friday night.  Then Saturday, ended up deciding on relaxing day of some shopping & naps.. And then Saturday was out wicked late which wasn’t helped with the time change!

This week, I don’t have much planned other then working..  But we’ll see what things come up…  Now, its off to bed…

Long Weekend
Mar 5th, 2009 by Bomb

The week is finally over and I get to start my long weekend tomorrow!  My bus leaves at 9AM in Back Bay and should hit Mid-town Manhattan around 1PM.

Schedule when I arrive is to head over to Times Square and drop my bag off with Jeremy. Then I plan on just walking around some, check out Central Park and all that.  Then I’ll be meeting up with Joel and whoever else for dinner, etc in the city.

Saturday, going to do some more tourist stuff, probably do a bus tour around the city.  I’ve seen some sites from past visits but definitely not anywhere close to everything.  Saturday night its onto the big birthday party somewhere in the city I don’t even know - but it should be fun..

Sunday: Recover.. Maybe do lunch someplace or whatever.  Head back over to mid-town and catch my bus back to Boston.

Snow Storm
Mar 2nd, 2009 by Bomb

We’re enjoying perhaps the last big storm of the winter season..  Over half of my office always ends up working remotely on days like these so its actually not that bad coming into the office.  I also have no excuse since I don’t have to drive, and with my LL Bean boots on, can pretty much go anywhere..

Maybe a long lunch with some friends a couple beers at Summer Shack?  Sounds great!  Still wondering if my 1PM meeting will get canceled though.. hmm..  Gotta love ‘office snowdays’..  the closest thing as an adult I get to old school snowdays.
